Martin Derungs

Martin Derungs is the founder, sole shareholder and the general manager of Derungs Management Consulting Ltd. With 20+ years of international management experience in the Telecom and ICT industry he has built up operational knowledge and deep business experience acting as General Manager, Head of international Sales and Service organizations and Head of Business Development. These positions have included essential involvement in Mergers & Acquisitions, integrations, reorganizations, people management and the development of new sales and service structures in the European markets. He has held multiple board positions during this time and was involved in strategic processes for business adaptations as the Business Development of different operational units across Europe. This experience and expertise allows him to successfully support companies executing their strategic and operational targets.

Ascom Business Systems AG:
Country project manager for south Europe and General manager for Spain in Madrid.

MCI Worldcom:
Global Account Director with the global responsibility of key accounts including ABB, Kühne & Nagel and more.

Aastra Telecom:
As Regional Group President looking over a large part of the European markets (DACH, UK, South Europe, Benelux, East Europe with CIS) he was deeply involved in the acquisitions and integrations (products and sales channels) of multiple companies which Aastra Telecom acquired throughout the region including DeTeWe, EADS Telephony business, and the Ericsson Enterprise division. He was also responsible for successfully introducing the Aastra SIP telephone family in Europe.

He also has over 5 year’s international management experience as an expatriate (Spain, Italy, Germany and India).

Educational Background:

Mr. Derungs holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electronic Engineering (1988) from the University of Applied Science in Buchs, Switzerland, and a Degree as Business Engineer (Service Management) STV from the Management School St. Gallen, Switzerland (1995).
